Jom Makan BDC in Sarawak

"My first time here. The food was great and cheap. I tried the droed mee. It was very nice. Can taste the wok hay. Tried the roti canai and was decent. We ordered the satay, the sate was bland. The kuah satay was good though. Will come here again but ill skip the satay maybe. Needs spices. Try avoiding around pick hours coz the area was too crowsed and parking can be an issue due to traffic."

"The beef rendang is chewy and does not taste like rendang. The flavour is unique but not in a pleasant way. Every time I ordered the beef rendang here, it tasted different. It has consistency issues. The ayam bakar rice is pretty good with tons of toppings."

"Tried different food. Saya ingin cadangkan Jom Makan supaya letak sekeping dua daging, jangan lah semua tulang. Sup tulang was so so, not fragrant, wish there are at least a piece or 2 of meat without the bone instead of all gigantic bones with little meat. And kicap cili was disappointing, I expected it to be more "kick", its not nice dont think its homemade with love and experience. I dont like the kuah for my roti planta, its dhal i think, more to the sweet side. If you just cook normal kuah kari, it would be good enough. I only like the drink. Ok lah, budget eatery. Will visit again to try other food."

"Jom Makan at BDC serves some really satisfying local favourites. Their satay is excellent—grilled to perfection with a nice smoky, charred flavour that adds depth. I especially enjoyed the beef satay. The roti canai is also worth trying. It comes with curry that’s enhanced with sambal, giving it a spicy kick that pairs well with the crispy flatbread. We also tried the fried kueh tiaw and mee kuning, both of which had great smoky aroma and flavour from high-heat wok cooking. It’s the kind of taste you only get from a well-seasoned wok and skilled hands. Overall, a great place for a hearty local meal with bold, authentic flavours."

"Was abit worried to read past reviews, but perhaps they've changed after that. Absolutely loved the food & the atmosphere. For me this deserves top star rating. Workers were polite, food arrived fast and everything was fine."
